We’ve fallen in love with travertine flooring. We’re replacing the smoky tiles with this limestone inlaid with a multitude of shells, crustaceans and other crystals to give the living room and the new kitchen the light bounce that will brighten up the interior of the farmhouse. A whole crab several million years old rests in one of them (below).
