A real treat for breakfast on a slice of Uncle Fafa’s “Bee & Cicada” bread.
Ingredients
- 1 kg of cherries
- 700 g jam sugar (confisuc)
- 1 generous handful of lavender flowers
Recipe
- Pit the cherries
- Leave to macerate for one day in a large bowl
- Add sugar
- Bring gently to the boil, leave to cook for 1? to 2 hours.
- Leave to cool a little and crush the cherries
- Skim
- Put in sterilised jars (boiled with the lids on), taking care to close them tightly and turn them upside down until the jam has set as it cools.
