The story of a culinary legend
The history of L’Atelier Mélanie goes back to Mélanie Rouat (1878-1954), a gastronomic icon. In 1923, she opened this restaurant, which quickly became famous thanks to the recommendations of the prince of gastronomes, Curnonsky. Celebrities such as René Coty, Colette and Jean Cocteau enjoyed her succulent dishes, which earned her two Michelin stars. Legendary dishes such as stuffed clams, lobster in cream sauce and Breton galettes have left their mark on the history of French cuisine.
Artisans of taste
Laura and Jean-Baptiste, the masters of cuisine at L’Atelier Mélanie, have honed their talents in prestigious palaces. Their cuisine is based on fresh seasonal produce, carefully selected to bring out its natural flavours. Each month, their menu highlights the delights of the region, from vegetables to game, for an authentic and refined experience.
